8 Fun facts – Victoria Hall
1. The Victoria Hall opened in 1992 and is named after the Swedish Crown Princess Victoria.
2. In 1996, the Swedish song competition Melodifestivalen took place in Victoriahallen – the group One More Time won with the song Den vilda.
3. Charlotte Nilsson (now Perelli) won the the Swedish song competition Melodifestivalen in 1999 with the song “Take me to your heaven”, which happend to win the entire Eurovision Song Contest.
4. Many famous speakers have been on stage here. John Cleese and Richard Branson are among them.
5. Every year UF STARTUP and the Swedish Championships in Young Enterprise are held in the Victoria Hall for high school seniors.
6. The Victoria Hall is a flexible venue with its unique grandstand that can be folded up and down.
7. The lighting inside the hall is energy efficient and can produce all kinds of color combinations.
8. The Victoria Hall has hosted many international concerts, parties and gala dinners and can seat up to 2000 people.
