Stockholm+50

At the beginning of June 2022, the international environmental meeting Stockholm+50 was organized here at Stockholmsmässan – a large and important UN meeting on global environmental issues.

UN meeting to focus on global environmental issues

The meeting was organized by the UN and hosted by Sweden together with Kenya and gathered more than 4000 participants from 155 different countries. The meeting took place 50 years after the first international environmental conference took place in Stockholm in 1972 with the aim of accelerating global sustainability.

During the two days of Stockholm+50 on June 2-3th, 2022, over 4,000 participants gathered to highlight environmental issues.

50 years since the first conference

The meeting took place 50 years after the first international environmental conference took place in Stockholm in 1972, the so-called Stockholm Conference.
