On 20\u201322 October, the Swedish National Defence Expo will make its debut at Stockholmsm\u00e4ssan. Interest has exceeded expectations, with the exhibition growing to approximately 3,500 square metres \u2013 four times its originally planned size. Together with the security exhibition SKYDD, the two events will bring together more than 400 exhibitors focusing on Sweden’s security and preparedness. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The idea for the National Defence Expo emerged during SKYDD 2024, with the ambition of creating a shared meeting place for civil and military defence. Two years later, the initiative has become a reality, attracting considerable interest from the defence industry, government agencies and businesses. <\/p>\n

\u2013 When we decided to establish the National Defence Expo during SKYDD 2024, we recognised a clear need for a shared meeting place for civil and military defence. The fact that we are now opening an exhibition with this level of participation shows that interest has exceeded even our most optimistic expectations. But what matters most is not how many people attend, but what comes out of the meetings. We want to help develop practical solutions that strengthen Sweden’s total defence capabilities, says Monika Johannesen Widholm, Head of Event Unit Resilience & Mobility at Stockholmsm\u00e4ssan. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A New Arena for Sweden\u2019s Total Defense
\n<\/strong>The exhibition will bring together representatives from civil and military defence, government agencies and businesses. Exhibitors include the Swedish Armed Forces, the Swedish Civil Defence Agency, Saab, Atea and Defensor Group, showcasing a wide range of technologies, services and solutions within defence, security and critical infrastructure. <\/p>\n

The security exhibition SKYDD, an established meeting place for the security industry since 1969, will take place alongside the National Defence Expo. By bringing the two events together under one roof, new opportunities will be created for knowledge sharing and collaboration between organisations working to strengthen Sweden’s security and preparedness. <\/p>\n

Focus on Knowledge and Collaboration<\/strong>
\nOver the three days, the events will feature approximately 140 programme sessions, including presentations and panel discussions addressing current security challenges and future solutions.
The programme will bring together leading representatives from government agencies, defence organisations and businesses to discuss topics including the changing security landscape, technological developments and how closer collaboration can strengthen Sweden’s total defence capabilities. <\/p>\n
