DreamHack at Stockholmsmässan

In November 2024 and 2025, Stockholmsmässan was transformed into a vibrant hub for gaming, music and live-streamed esports as one of the world’s largest digital festivals took over the venue. An unforgettable experience filled with energy, innovation and community, where every detail – from production to logistics – worked seamlessly together.

52,000 visitors from 59 countries gathered in Stockholm, creating a global meeting place for gaming and esports.

A strategic choice of venue

Choosing Stockholmsmässan as the venue was a deliberate decision. With 70,000 sqm of flexible space, excellent transport connections and extensive experience of large-scale international events, the right conditions were in place from the very start.

After more than twenty years in Jönköping, DreamHack came to Stockholm for the first time. The festival set a new European record and has since become an established part of the city’s event calendar.
With a strong international audience, the event positioned Stockholm as a global hub for gaming and digital culture.

DreamHack brings together the entire gaming culture in one event.
Esports, cosplay, creators and music came together in a dynamic whole, where audience and content were created in real time.

Impact for Stockholm

DreamHack delivers impact beyond the on-site experience.
According to estimates from the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, the festival generated over SEK 81 million in tourism revenue.

The event strengthens Stockholm as an international meeting place, supports the visitor economy and fosters cultural exchange within gaming and tech.
