Our operations are certified to ISO 20121, an international standard for event sustainability. Through this certification, Stockholmsmässan can influence and contribute to a more sustainable meeting industry.

As part of our sustainability work, we follow the EU Waste Hierarchy, which consists of five steps that guide how waste should be managed to be as sustainable as possible.

Stockholmsmässan is affiliated with Net Zero Carbon Events – a global industry initiative to address climate change.

Shore certification

Stockholmsmässan shows the way forward for the meetings industry – we are SHORE certified in high international security class.

Recycling

Stockholmsmässan works long-term with various forms of reuse projects. All the fairs, meetings and congresses we organize should make a big impression and leave a small footprint.

SUSTAINABILITY DAYS

We hold annual Sustainability Days and invite employees to raise awareness of the company’s sustainability efforts and inspire new sustainability initiatives.

Our owners, the City of Stockholm, have tasked us with selling and marketing Stockholm as one of Europe’s leading meeting places. The mission also includes strengthening the competitiveness of the business sector in the region. To achieve our mission, we must operate in a way that is sustainable for people and society.

Work enviroment responsibility

At Stockholmsmässan we want to create an as secure and safe working environment as possible, for our own employees and you who works here for someone else. All work in production – before, during and after the events – naturally entails various risks. This document describes the risks that you as event and booth constructor need to be aware of when you work at Stockholmsmässan, what you can do to lower these and how you thereby contribute to a safer work environment for everyone.

5. We have zero tolerance for bribery and corruption and we will act ethically in all relationships.
