Over the past year, Stockholmsmässan has hosted several world-leading congresses, international meetings and trade fairs. Together with the World Tunnel Congress, ISPO and Röntgenveckan, as well as world-leading gaming events such as DreamHack, Stockholmsmässan is consolidating its position as a dynamic hub and meeting place in the Nordic region.
Highlights included the World Tunnel Congress, which brought together over 3,000 experts from more than 80 countries; ISPO, an international congress on prosthetics, orthotics, mobility aids and rehabilitation with over 4,000 participants from more than 100 countries; and Röntgenveckan, a national conference for all radiology professionals. In addition, a wide range of public fairs were held, including Bröllopsfeber, the Sewing & Crafts Festival, Allt för sjön, the Antiques Fair and Nordiska Trädgårdar. In the spring, the Swedish Championship for Young Enterprise was also organized, an important meeting place between schools, the business community and decision-makers.
The autumn saw both established and new initiatives, such as Trädgårdsmässan Höst, which was held in parallel with Hem & Villamässan, as well as strong public and industry events such as Formex, Sthlm Food & Wine, Allt för Hälsan, Sectech, Odontologisk Riksstämma and Swedental.
The year ended with two major international public events. DreamHack, the world’s largest festival for gaming and internet culture, filled the entire facility and set a new attendance record with 60,000 visitors, 8,000 more than last year. Hyrox also took place, a unique fitness race that has grown every year from 900 to over 16 000 athletes.
In 2025, Stockholmsmässan’s strategic direction shifted, which means that public fairs will not be organized under its own auspices. In December, Numera Mässor was confirmed as the new organizer for the portfolio, which will continue to be organized at Stockholmsmässan. The spring public fairs will be organized by Stockholmsmässan as planned, but will then be transferred to Numera Mässor.
– The focus is on organizing its own fairs and events for selected sectors of the business community and actively cultivating the meetings market to be able to welcome major congresses, fairs and other meetings here. This means that Stockholmsmässan can continue to create value for all of Sweden’s companies and organizations, as well as Stockholm as a region,” says Mats Viker, CEO of Stockholmsmässan.
Strongly equipped for 2026
We are now looking ahead and welcoming six international congresses and lots of other exciting events, conferences, congresses and fairs to Stockholmsmässan. Among other things, we will be hosted by the Swedish Kennel Club in September 2026, when the European Dog Show is organized. This event is expected to attract around 25,000 visitors, 25,000 dogs and judges from 25 different countries over three days.
– “With 78 events already booked for 2026, including six international congresses, we are positive about the future. Stockholmsmässan will continue to be a global meeting place and accelerator for social development, in Stockholm, the Nordic region and the world,” concludes Anna-Karin Werner, Director of Sales & Event Operations at Stockholmsmässan.
The 2026 event calendar is packed with popular events, congresses and meetings.
