Stockholmsmässan is broadening its offering with three new fairs in areas of growing importance to society and business: Totalförsvarsmässan, Nordbygg Väst and Sweden Water Expo. The initiative is part of the work to strengthen Stockholmsmässan as the Nordic region’s leading arena for business and community development.
Demand for more specialized forums is increasing as markets evolve and become more niche. Complementing the offer with new concepts creates more opportunities for exhibitors and visitors to meet in the right context.
Three new initiatives in critical sectors
Totalförsvarsmässan – a new meeting place for actors in civil and military defense that will be launched in connection with SKYDD 2026 at Stockholmsmässan on 20-22 October 2026. It will bring together authorities, industry and other key players in society to strengthen collaboration, preparedness and the development of future solutions.
Nordbygg Väst – a regional initiative in the construction and real estate industry established at Åby Arena in Gothenburg. The fair is organized every two years as a complement to Nordbygg in Stockholm and gives players the opportunity to reach the West Swedish market, create new business opportunities and take part in current industry issues.
Sweden Water Expo – a new trade fair for the water and wastewater sector focusing on water, sustainable infrastructure and future resource supply. The premiere will take place at Stockholmsmässan on September 16-17, 2026 and will bring together actors from the entire industry to discuss innovation and collaboration.
Part of the strategic development
The new fairs are in line with Stockholmsmässan’s strategic direction, where the focus is on creating business-driven formats for the business community.
“The need for relevant and specialized meeting places is increasing. With these fairs, we create new forums where industries can meet around current issues and develop business,” says Lina Hann, Director of Events and Exhibitions at Stockholmsmässan.
